I've enjoyed 29 continuous years in motorcycle racing; having won 4 separate British Championship titles:
1988 British JuniorStock Champion

1992 British Supersport 400cc Champion

1995 British Supersport 600cc Champion

2004 British Supermono Champion - watercooled.

 

On the 'pure' roads I've won:

The Macau Grand Prix on a ROC 500

North West 200 Supersport 600cc race

 

I've had some great fun in World Endurance, with quite a few rostrums, favourite being 2nd at the Bol d'Or and being the last Briton to have won the Imola 200.

Oh, and I like pies...

Recently I've got in to coaching; currently being the only independent ACU certified commercial road racing coach.

 

It's not been easy to achieve; but I think it's worth it.
Working with my coaching clients gives me a chance to pass on experience and hopefully help them enjoy a sport that I've had so much fun from over the years.

It's a really great feeling when coaching someone one to one, watching them progress when you're pointing out techniques to them, helping with riding tips and race craft that took me years on my own through trial and error to figure out for myself!

If only there had been someone like me that I could have gone to twenty years ago - it would have certainly speeded up my career.

But just in case you wanted a précis of what I got up to before then, in the 'olden days' I've include below a brief overview of achievements before the website was properly up and running.

2002

  • W.E.C. Imola 200 - Phase One GSXR  – WON

  • W.E.C. Silverstone 200 - Phase One GSXR - 2nd

  • W.E.C. Brno 6hr - Phase One GSXR - 10th

  • W.E.C. Suzuka 8hr - Phase One GSXR - 18th

  • W.E.C. Vallelunga 200 - Phase One GSXR - 4th - finished Championship 4th Overall!

  • K.R.C. Snetterton 6hr - Red Kite OW01 - took pole, finished 3rd

  • K.R.C. Pembrey 6hr - Red Kite OW01 - took pole, finished 5th

  • K.R.C. Snetterton 8hr - Red Kite OW01 - qualified 2nd, d.n.f. due to mechanical failure

  • K.R.C. Pembrey 6hr - Alf's ZX9 - WON.

2001

  • W.E.C. Brno 8hr (Czech) on Motomax GSXR (Stock Sport) – 3rd overall

  • W.E.C. Brands Hatch 6hr on Motomax GSXR,  fellow rider crashed during race

  • W.E.C. Nurburgring 6hr on Motomax GSXR,  fellow rider crashed during race

  • Pembrey 6hr K.R.C. Endurance, OW01 - winner

  • Snetterton 8hr K.R.C. Endurance, Ducati 916 – set pole, machine failure whilst leading.

2000

  • World Endurance Championship - Estoril 8Hr (Portugal) on Motomax Yamaha R1
    (Stock Sport) - 4th in class

  • Cadwell Park, Sound of Thunder, on Moto Guzzi 1000 - - 3 wins – One 2nd place.

1999

  • German Pro Superbike Round: Panonia Ring (Hungary), on ZXR750R– Crashed

1998

  • British Super Stock Championship: Team 18-30 VTR 1000, Snetterton - 6th,

  • Donington Park – Blown up on first lap of practice.

  • German Pro Superbike Round: Hockenhiem, Ring: on ZXR750R
    – Qualified 3rd-Heat one Crashed & second heat 15th Place.

1997

  • British 600 Supersport Championship: Honda CBR600, - 2 wins, Rostrums & Lap Records.

  • British Production Championship: Honda CBR900, - 2 wins & Placings & Lap Records.

1996

  • British 600 Supersport Championship: V&M Honda CBR600,
    - Rostrums & placings, 5th in Championship.

  • British Production Championship: V&M Honda CBR900,
    - 3 wins & Placings & Lap Records.

  • Macau GP: ROC 500 – Pole Position-Lap Record-Crashed.

  • Triumph Speed Triple - 2 Wins & Placings &Lap Records 4th in Championship.

  • World S.O.S. Championship: Works MuZ680, - 3 Wins, 3 Pole Positions & Lap records.

  • World Endurance Championship: Spa 24Hr, -Retired after 16Hr’s (Lee Pullan Killed).

1995

  • British 600 Supersport Champion
    V&M Honda CBR600, - Championship Winner, Lap Records.

  • Macau GP Champion, ROC 500 – Winner, Pole Position-Lap Record.

  • British S.O.S.: Works Tigcraft MZ680, - 4 Wins, Pole Positions, Lap Records.

  • Daytona 200: Harley Davidson VR1000, - Qualified 12th -Crashed.

  • International Bears Championship: Assen - Harley Davidson VR1000 – 2nd Place.

  • Northwest 200: 600 Supersport – 2nd Place.

  • Triumph Speed Triple Inaugural Race: - Winner, Pole position & Lap Record.

  • World Endurance Championship: Spa 24Hr, -Retired (2nd rider crashed), Bol’Dor – Retired (Gear box after 18 hours).

1994
